Namaqualand

Namaqualand-South Africa 
To me, one of the most magical places in the world. Annually ,from the end of August, flowers in bright masses cover the barren landscape in a kaleidoscope of colour. Their tiny petals only open to the sun above 17 Deg celsius - What a glorious sight. It truly takes your breath away.
We did go up to Springbok, where the magnificent Kokers stand tall on the horizons. Nieuwoudtsville is a favourite stop, all the way down to the beaches at Elandsbaai.
We would stay in or around a town and ride our mountain bikes out for the day, disappearing into the colourful landscape..
